I was researching this: A Minna is mentioned once. No direct Earth comparison is stated but perhaps it is close to a pound. And found: Yes, the term “Minna” is used as a unit of weight in some historical and regional contexts. It is derived from the Arabic word “minn” (من), which was used in various parts of the Islamic world. The minna was a unit of weight used in ancient and medieval times, particularly in the Middle East and parts of North Africa. Its exact value could vary depending on the region and time period, but it was generally used to measure quantities of goods like grain and spices. In historical contexts, the minna was often used alongside other units of weight such as the dirham and the qintar. In some cases, the minna was also used in trade and commerce in regions influenced by Islamic culture. Thought I'd share

Answer

Hello and thank you for your research.
I basically found the same information when I added the Minna to the Weights and Measures page.
What I meant by my sentence "No direct Earth comparison is stated but perhaps it is close to a pound." was that the book didn't specifically say that the Gorean Minna is the same as the Earth Minna.
So I reworded my statement to make that a little more clear . . . and I added a snippet of your research too.
Again, thank you.
