Inclusive

by Fogaban

I am all for being inclusive.
I am totally against being inclusive.

If being inclusive means I accept free men, free women, a slave girl / kajira (plural kajirae) or a male slave / kajirus (plural kajiri) then yes, I am inclusive.
I'll even agree to Contract Women or even go so far as to include a Kur (plural Kurii).
I think someone identifying as a Priest-King is a bit much.
Homosexuality exists on Gor. It's rare, but it does exist. So, I include those who are.

If being inclusive means I am expected to accept "All" then no, I am against being inclusive.

If someone says they identify as a bosk, larl or sleen and expect me to accept that, interact with them as such, and believe it . . . they would be sadly mistaken.

I will not accept someone wearing a cape and claiming to fly.
I will not accept someone who is immortal and cannot die.

I will not accept someone with a made-up title.
I will not accept someone with a studded-leather bridle.

Gor does not have planes, trains or automobiles.
Gor does not have sand-dragons or snowmobiles.

Gor is a world where man speaks with his steel.
Gor is a world where the woman best kneel.

Book 4, Page 60 tells us "Slave girls, on Gor, address all free men as master, though, of course, only one such would be her true master.""
I'll accept Jarl, but even that is not a hard fast rule. And the word Sir is used in a few places. But nowhere is Sir substituted for Master as in Book 4, page 60.
I will not accept a King or Potentate or Grand Pooba.

The world of Gor is a place where we have all been invited to visit. It is not a place where we are given a license to poke holes in it or rip it to shreds.

If people spent half the effort trying to be all things to all people and focused on trying to be all they can be what the books say they can be . . . life would be better.
