Gorean Book Quote Requests

Requests 1-173 were asked and answered back when there were only 25 books.
Also, some of the early questions were unintentionally truncated and cannot be restored. However, the answers are shown in their totality.

In Players of Gor, during the Cosian occupation of Ar, the outer walls of the city were destroyed and removed. Were these walls ever mentioned as being rebuilt in later novels?

Answer

Yes, the walls of Ar were rebuilt.
This is mentioned several times but here are a couple:

"The walls of Ar," I said, "are doubtless being rebuilt."

I must not make my serious concerns too obvious.

"With soaring hearts and singing," said a fellow.

"And the flute girls who so tormented and mocked the earlier dismantlers of the walls?" I asked.

"Collared, naked, sweating, under the lash," said a fellow, "they now struggle to bear stones to the builders."

"Obviously the walls have been rebuilt," said Xenon.

"And higher and stronger than before," said Seremides.

We had arrived in the vicinity of Ar two days ago.
