 Q #  Question

"is looking for a quote where a slave calls a Panther girl Mistress. she knows it happens in Captive of Gor, and perhaps again in Hunters, but not as sure on that one. she thanks you."

Answer
Hello,

To begin with, as is stated in every one of the books, a slave addresses all free men as Master and all free women as Mistress. There are but two states a person can be, free or slave. Since Panthers are not slave, they are free and therefore the "rule" of being addressed as Mistress would apply. Using just books 7 and 8, here are two examples:

"A Gorean slave, incidentally, always addresses free men as "Master," and all free women as "Mistress.""

"Slave girls on Gor address all free men as Master, all free women as Mistress."
Hunters of Gor     Book 8     Page 65

Then, to be more specific, here are two quotes where Verna, a Panther Girl as shown, is directly addressed as Mistress. And also one quote where Sheera, another Panther Girl, is addressed using the same title.

Now, while a free woman may demand to be addressed in any way she pleases, it does not change the repeated fact that, on Gor, slaves addressed free women as Mistress.

Take care,
Fogaban

Verna regarded me. She wiped the dirt and crumbled leaves from her sleen knife, which I had thrown from me, on the skins of her brief garments, and then replaced it in her sheath. She slung again about her shoulders her bow and quiver, and took up again her light spear. The other girls similarly armed themselves, preparing to depart. Some gathered up the water gourds and what meat was left from their meal.
Verna approached me.
I knelt.
"What are you?" she asked.
"Kajira, Mistress," I whispered.

Verna looked down upon me. "Continue with your work, Slave," she said.
"Yes, Mistress," I said.
Then, together, Verna and Rask of Treve left me. Weeping, I continued to iron.

I was not interested in the purchase of men, but I was interested in whatever information I might be able to gather from panther girls. And these girls were free. Who knew what they might know?
"Wine, Slave," said Sheera.
"Yes, Mistress," whispered Cara, and filled her cup.
Sheera regarded her with contempt. Head down, Cara crept back.
Panther girls are arrogant. They live by themselves in the northern forests, by hunting, and slaving and outlawry. They have little respect for anyone, or anything, saving themselves and, undeniably, the beasts they hunt, the tawny forest panthers, the swift, sinuous sleen.
