Tal Master, over the years I found Masters site extremely helpful, but recently I found myself within a roleplay and used the word soap, I am pretty sure I read somewhere in the books of soap being used, but I could not find the quote by myself, perhaps Master can help me?

Answer
Greetings little one,

What a pleasant surprise for someone asking a question to show some basic manners.

Indeed, you were correct. Soap is mentioned several times within the series. Here are the quotes I found for you.

I wish you well,
Fogaban

Perhaps she might be purchased for the scullery in a Gorean cylinder and discover her life to be bounded by the tile walls and the steam and soap of the cleaning tubs.

To one side sat a fellow selling soap. It was in round, brownish cakes; sliced. It is made by boiling ashes with fat cut from meat.

Similarly a girl's hair, if sufficiently long, may be used for the washing and cleaning of floors. In this she is usually on her hands and knees, and naked and chained. The hair is used in conjunction with the soap and water, in the appropriate buckets, being dipped in, and wrung out, and rinsed, and so on.

Quickly Ellen scrambled up and thrust her hands into the soapy water. It was hot but she could now keep her hands and forearms submerged. She seized, and began to rub and work, the clothes in the tub.

Sometimes when low-caste women are enslaved they must be taught to be more ladylike, as their masters will have that of them. Their mouths, for example, may be washed out with soap, literally. That is a symbolic, but surely unpleasant, lesson they are not likely to forget. And it may be repeated as often as the master pleases.

I was on my hands and knees, and I dipped the heavy, thick-bristled brush into the soapy water again. The strokes are to be firm, and circular. Later one rinses with rags and clear water. As I moved, I heard the chain linking my ankles move on the wood.

"Now return to your work," she said, "and do not dally."

"Yes, Mistress," I said, and seized up the brush, immersed it in the soapy water, and bent again to my task.

"I will have Jane and Eve hold a plate for you," she said.

"Thank you, Mistress," I said.

The strokes are to be firm, and circular.

We were conducted to the gate in the cage, following which we eased ourselves into the pool, Paula first. The gate was then locked behind us, with its two locks, and Kurik tossed a bar of yellow, tallow soap through the bars to Paula. We were not permitted the bathing oils commonly utilized by the free. "Clean yourselves well," he said. "When I return I shall bring toweling material, a brush, and comb, and two clean, fresh tunics, that you may not be more offensive to gaze upon than, as worthless slaves, you usually are." He then turned away, and made his way to the wagon area.

"Dear Paula," I said, "use the soap or give it to me. The masters may soon return for us."

"In a moment," she said.

Neither of us wished to be lax in our cleansing. We wished to be well bathed for our own sakes, of course, for we were filthy, but also we wanted to sparkle for our masters. Just as slaves are not permitted to be rudely spoken, or awkward, or clumsy, they are to mind their appearance and keep their bodies clean. A free woman may do as she wishes in such matters, but the slave is not free. Too, she is not eager to feel the lash.
